Anglepoise® Lamps to Feature on ‘City Living’

21 Feb Anglepoise® Lamps to Feature on ‘City Living’

Kate Gould is pleased to share the exciting news that she has teamed up with iconic British brand Anglepoise® to illuminate her Fresh Garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2017.

Anglepoise®, a longstanding and well trusted British lamp manufacturer, is kindly providing two of its Original 1227 Giant Outdoor lamps to showcase at Kate’s garden ‘City Living’ at Chelsea.
Three times larger than the original Anglepoise® lamp the Giant was first commissioned by the Roald Dahl museum as a giant version of the lamp Roald Dahl used in his writing hut, but demand for the oversize creation soon saw it added to the collection as both an indoor and outdoor lamp for those looking to add a statement piece of lighting to their homes and gardens.

Kate has chosen the striking ‘Fresh Orange’ colourway for ‘City Living’ however there is a choice of fifteen colours on the Anglepoise® website and as each lamp is made to order, Anglepoise® can custom match colours upon request. Big enough to make a statement, yet flexible enough to work in smaller areas too, the new Original 1227™ Giant Outdoor Collection comprises an oversized floor lamp and articulated wall-mounted lamp, engineered for outdoor use with marine-grade stainless steel fittings, a sealed light unit and silicone rubber cable. These are beautifully crafted, highly functional lamps, with the benefit of ultimate flexibility and balance afforded by the unique Anglepoise® spring mechanism; also stunning, illuminated sculptures that will add drama and style to your garden vista whether viewed from inside or out.

The lamps will be placed on the seating areas of Kate’s visionary garden which will show how useable and attractive urban spaces can be incorporated into city buildings regardless of how small, difficult or constrained the spaces may be. The aim is to create valuable outdoor green space for communal use providing nature corridors for birds and other wildlife in the process. #greeningupgreybritain
