Kate Gould Gardens Appoints New Project Manager

25 Aug Kate Gould Gardens Appoints New Project Manager

Kate Gould Gardens is delighted to welcome Keith Chapman MBE to the business in the role of project manager. Keith will be responsible for the day-to-day running of garden builds and projects as well as negotiating with suppliers and contractors.

No stranger to the world of horticulture Keith has been involved with landscaping since his college days. On completing his Horticultural Diploma he started working with a small landscaping firm where he went on to win, aged nineteen, a medallion of excellence for Landscaping from the World Skills Organisation. Shortly thereafter Keith set up and ran a Landscaping company of his own for several years before accepting a position with Frosts as site manager a year prior to joining Kate Gould Gardens.

In addition to his experience in private and commercial gardens, Keith has worked on over twenty show gardens over the last five years at various prestigious RHS shows including Chelsea, Hampton Court Cardiff, Malvern and Tatton Park. His impressive list of accolades includes Four Gold medals and a People’s Choice award at Chelsea as well as a Gold, Silver Gilt and People’s Choice award for Hampton Court.

Following his own award Keith enjoyed several years of voluntary work with the World Skills Organisation promoting educational skills in young people new to the sector which culminated in him being awarded an MBE in the Queen’s 2012 birthday honour’s list.

“We are very pleased to be welcoming Keith to the team” affirmed Kate, “He has a vast amount of valuable experience that will enable him to hit the ground running and ensure that our projects are delivered on spec and within our deadlines”

There won’t be much time to settle in though as Keith has already been booked to speak at an RHS Seminar in November for new gardeners and has a full slate of projects to familiarise himself with. Commenting on his new role Keith said, “I am excited to be joining the growing team at KGG and looking forward to getting stuck in”
